Piet van Abeelen is Managing Partner of R&G Global Consultants. Before launching R&G Global Consultants, Piet worked for 28 years at General Electric, latterly as Chief Six Sigma Quality Officer reporting directly to Chairman and CEO Jack Welch and later Jeff Immelt. He spent 6 years as a member of GE's Corporate Executive Council, during which time he spearheaded the development of the now world-renowned GE Six Sigma approach. During Piet's 28 years with GE he held a variety of senior management and executive positions in Europe and in the US. He was an officer of the company for 9 years - the first 3 years as Vice President of Global Manufacturing and the last 6 as Vice President of Six Sigma. Prior to this, Piet held various positions in Sales, Marketing and Technology.

Piet holds a degree in Polymer Physics & Chemistry and a degree in Economics.
